The current app needs no account and contains no advertising or third-party behavioral analytics. Camera scanning processes images on your device. Visiting a website, choosing a device voice or emailing support can involve the service providers described below.
1. Who is responsible
Vladimir Druts operates Pocket Renaissance in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is responsible for the information we handle. Contact pocketrenaissancestudio@gmail.com with “Privacy request” in the subject for questions, access requests or complaints.
2. Information in Twistmallow
Progress and preferences. The app saves cube state, turn history, lesson position, progress, settings and recovery copies in local storage on your device. We do not receive these saves automatically. If you export a save, the destination you choose controls that copy. Device backups, including backups you enable through your operating system, may contain app data.
Camera scanning. If you choose to scan a cube and grant camera permission, camera images are processed on your device to read cube colors. We do not upload or save photos or video from scanning. Scan colors and measurements are used during the session; the confirmed cube state can become part of your local save. The scanner does not request microphone access.
Voice guidance. The default guide uses prerecorded audio included with the native app. Optional device voices are supplied by your device or speech provider. Depending on the voice and device, that provider may process speech requests online under its own privacy terms. We do not send your scan images or personal messages to an AI voice-generation service.
Diagnostics. The current app does not automatically send us analytics or crash reports. If a diagnostic mode is enabled for troubleshooting, it can store technical details and a limited set of game-scene screenshots locally. We receive a diagnostic file only if you choose to share it. Apple or Google may separately provide platform or beta-testing reports according to your settings and their terms.
3. Website visits and cookies
This informational site is hosted through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting it involves request information such as IP address, browser/device information, requested page, access time and error or security events. Hosting providers may retain operational logs and use necessary security mechanisms under their service terms. We use hosting services to deliver the pages and address reliability or abuse issues.
We have not added advertising, visitor profiling, marketing analytics, newsletter tracking or optional tracking cookies to this site. Fonts, images and the preview video are served with the site rather than embedded from social-media or video platforms. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own practices.
A separately offered password-protected browser beta has a different purpose from this public website. That beta uses a necessary access cookie lasting up to seven days; browser saves remain in that browser, and its hosting provider receives ordinary web requests. This public site does not require that beta password.
4. When you contact us
We receive the email address, message and attachments you send. Gmail, provided by Google, processes that correspondence. We use it to answer questions, investigate issues, handle privacy or purchase requests, and keep appropriate records of the outcome. We do not add support contacts to a marketing list.
Please send only information relevant to the issue. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, sensitive identity documents or unnecessary information about a child. We may request limited verification before disclosing or changing personal information, to avoid giving it to the wrong person.
5. Purchases and stores
The current Twistmallow preview does not offer purchases. If store-billed purchases become available, the applicable store will process payment under its own terms; we will not receive full payment-card details. We will update this policy before introducing purchase verification or other processing not described here. The app’s store page will identify what is available and any paid features.
6. Why we use information and who receives it
We use the information described above to provide the requested service or support, protect the service, troubleshoot problems, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. Where a lawful basis is required, this may be fulfilling a requested service or contract, a legal obligation, consent for optional processing, or legitimate interests in support and security that are balanced against your rights. A privacy notice does not replace consent where consent is required.
Access is limited to the operator and providers needed for these purposes, or professional advisers subject to appropriate confidentiality. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect people, rights or service security, subject to applicable law. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Google, OpenAI, Cloudflare, app stores and device-service providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other countries. Foreign laws can permit access by authorities. We use available contractual and security protections appropriate to our services; we do not promise Canada-only storage.
7. Retention and security
Local app saves remain until removed from the relevant device or browser, subject to your backups and exports. We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve and follow up on the issue, meet legal obligations and address disputes. We review retained information and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed. Relevant records may be kept longer for a legal obligation or unresolved claim; backup copies may persist until their normal replacement. Hosting and email providers also have their own operational retention practices.
We use reasonable access and account safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No system can guarantee absolute security. We assess reported incidents and notify affected people or authorities where required by law.
8. Your choices and rights
You can deny or revoke camera permission in device settings, choose whether to use voice guidance, and choose whether to send support information or exported saves. Removing app data can erase your progress; keep any export you need first. Uninstalling the app or clearing its browser data may not remove copies in device backups, exported files or emails you have sent.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or obtain a portable copy of information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact us to exercise an applicable right. We explain any lawful exception or verification we need and respond within the applicable legal deadline; our ordinary support-response target does not extend it.
You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local data-protection authority. We welcome the chance to address your concern first, but contacting us first is not a condition of your legal rights.
9. Children and families
We recognize that children may use Twistmallow with a parent or guardian. The current app does not ask for a name, email, birthdate, profile or chat message. Its local camera and progress processing are described above. Website hosting and device-service processing still apply when those services are used.
Parents or guardians should handle support correspondence and any future purchasing decisions. We do not knowingly solicit a child’s personal contact information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information that should not be retained, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate. We will obtain parental consent where required before introducing processing that needs it.
10. Changes
We will update the effective date when this policy changes and give additional notice or request consent when required. Material new processing will be described before it begins. This policy does not waive any privacy or consumer rights.
